Ultimate Aspen Weekend Travel Guide

Hey peaches! Coming at you with my first (& much requested) post of 2019 which I’m sorry was so delayed! Here is my ultimate Aspen weekend travel guide incl. tips with where to stay, eat and play — it so picturesque and beautiful I hope this inspires some of you to visit!!

You’ll notice I’ve created it in a new format that I’d love your feedback on! In addition to a more in depth write up, the above graphic can be simply screen grabbed (or saved down and printed) so you have everything you need to plan your trip or bring along with you at a glance.

As you may know, the girls and I visited Aspen for my bachelorette and it was perfect for what I wanted. We stayed at the Chamonix resort (villa 26) in Snowmass which delivered on the true ski lodge feel but did not disappoint on any of the amenities or service (+ views and wood burning fireplace!!). I would 100% stay there again and it’s a great option for groups because there are lots of bedrooms and accompanying bathrooms for everyone. If you’re visiting primarily for winter sports, you can do it all right there on Snowmass mountain BUT if prefer Aspen mountain then I would suggest staying in Aspen proper …. they’re about a 15-20mins cab ride apart and we spent a lot of time in both but cabs/ubers do add up and aren’t always the easiest to come by.

Downtown Aspen is definitely where majority of the restaurants/bars we went to are located, as well as the shopping area (all outdoors and so, so cute). For brunch I highly recommend Element 47 in The Little Nell and Prospect in Hotel Jerome — note we spent a lot of time in both these hotels for late night drinks as well as mid day in their various restaurants and lobby areas. All the restaurants listed above for you were fantastic — we weren’t able to hit Pine Creek Cookhouse because it was closed when we were there but that is a must when I return so wanted to include.

One unique thing we did (shoutout to my girls for the fantastic planning) was massages at the Aspen Meadows Resort which is on the same ground as the Aspen Institute (v well known location). The massages themselves were amazing, and the outdoor hot tub followed by a private yoga class was definitely a highlight. Worth looking into if you’re also going for a girls weekend.

Overall, Aspen really is a place that has it all and it is so beautiful and different than other places I’ve been. It gets sun 300+ days of the year and there are legit dogs off leash everywhere. A winter paradise!! The altitude difference is a real thing though lol so do not take it lightly!! Stay extremely hydrated and bring lots of moisturizer 🙂

Feel free to hit me with anything I’ve missed that you’re curious about, x!
