It’s officially my favourite season & the perfect time to cozy up with a good book! That sentiment now extends to Isla’s library & since I’m always asked what she’s reading, I thought I’d share our favourite fall kids books from Indigobaby!
We read every night before bed & I love incorporating seasonal themes as well as topics we’re experiencing in real life for Isla to pick from (everything from ballet class, to potty training to being a big sister!). Below is what’s on her shelf right now:

SHOP | Pick a Pumpkin | Gilbert the Ghost | Bonaparte Falls Apart | Boo! Baa, La La La | The Good The Bad & The Spooky | Once Upon A Potty | Little Miss, Big Sis | Bunheads | ABC | Oona
Here are some tips for reading your favourite fall kids books nightly together:
– rotating books including with seasonal picks keeps kids engaged & excited! When Isla starts to lose interest in picking a book, I know it’s time for a swap
– have books on display & allow your little one to pick what they want to read each night
– take your time if your toddler takes interest with words/pictures on specific pages (Isla has learned so many sounds/words from books that we read often!)
– lastly, my friends at Indigobaby told me not to worry too much about age appropriateness since kids will grow into books (& it’s good to have a variety for siblings!). I’m so glad they did bc I tend to gravitate to board books with less text, and Isla’s favourite book right now is actually a longer form one (Pick a Pumpkin!). Who knew!
Do you do seasonal book swaps for your kids? What are you favourite fall kids books? Would love to hear if there’s any I missed 🙂 And don’t forget to check out Indigobaby’s Halloween shop for tons of other items, too. HAPPY SPOOKY SEASON! X
